I was a huge fan of The Addams Family and hated The Munsters. I always felt the Addams Family was clever where The Munsters was just another version of the Beverly Hillbillies. John Astin who played Gomez Addams is the father of Sean Astin-Rudy, Lord of The Rings. Believe it or not, John Astin is still alive at age 91. He was also married to Patty Duke.
